I have gotten lots of compliments on this coat! Everyone wants to know where I got it. It’s much warmer than I expected. I’ve had a lot of down coats, and this keeps up with Minnesota weather. It was between -30 and-50 degrees F for prolonged periods, and I was warm in this, with layers underneath. The color of the 3rd photo is accurate, and Photos 1 & 2 show the fit. If you want to be able to wear a thick shawl or cardigan underneath, you may have to go up a size. Do check the measurements, as it runs a little small in the hips, if you’re pear shaped, like me. I could wear a full sleeved down liner with mine, IF I left my heaviest indoor layer at home or threw it in my bag. I wanted the cinched waist, though. I’m 5’7”, 190 pounds. 45-39-48. I bought XXL first, and it was so huge, the waistband sagged down to my butt. They were out of XL, so I got a L. It fit perfectly, with the down under liner…as long as I didn’t put anything but my keys in my pockets! Otherwise, the hip area looks like it fits a little tight. XL probably would have been perfect, since I like to wear big cardigans and shawls. It looks really good, though and it feels perfectly comfortable. I have a bigger coat, so this is perfect to wear with dresses & when I want to be cute. Last year, I wore it most days. I wasn’t cold AT ALL, but I did end up dragging my cardigan with me because I got cold indoors, where I didn’t wear the coat! I love it so much I just bought an XL for this year! Now, I can wear one when I dress up & one for everyday wear.
Love this coat. It’s so warm. Totally perfect for serious cold. I love the length too. I’m short so it goes a ways down my calf. Perfect. I wish it wasn’t so darn pricey. The hood is big but it works for me. I wear a baseball cap which keeps the hood in place and out of my eyes. Great coat.
Good fit. Long length keeps me warm. I wish the hood did not have the hideously ugly fake fur. Hood is removable but would have liked to have kept it on.
